Hey everyone! Here’s an adorable video of Ashlee on “Good Day New York”.. she talks about her role on Broadway and how she plans on doing another album.
After just a little over a month of giving Broadway audiences “all that jazz” in “Chicago,” Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is exiting the revival and singer Michelle Williams is reportedly stepping in.
According to People, the former Destiny’s Child star will strut her stuff in the role of Roxie Hart on the Great White way.
The 29-year-old singer will reportedly play the singing murderess for a limited run from February 8 to March 28.
This isn’t the first time Michelle has starred in the popular musical. She first played Roxie in 2009 in London’s West End production. She has also started in “Aida” on Broadway and also performed in the national tour of “The Color Purple.”
Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates, I’m back now though, and I promise lots of updates from now on. Here are new Candids of Ashlee in NYC, she looks amazing.
Jessica Simpson is coming to her family’s defense once again.
The 29-year-old singer — who called Melrose Place “crap” after her younger sister Ashlee was canned — is now going after celeb blogger Perez Hilton, who poked fun at her nephew Bronx.
On Friday – Bronx’s first birthday — Perez wrote: “It’s been one year since Asslee pushed Bronx Mowgli through her vayjayjay and it’s all the family is talking about!”
He then ended his post by calling Bronx a “poor lil’ thing” who “doesn’t stand a chance!!!”
Simpson wasn’t amused. She Twittered later that day: “Does perez hilton..whatever his name really is..have no heart at all?Don’t ever attack my family again.Sad to know u hate so deeply.Sad 4 U”
Her spirits seemed to improve a short time later. “I challenge everyone to save up for a flt [ed note: flight] to somewhere you have always wanted to go. Get inspired beyond boundries [sic],” she wrote. “Find something waiting!”
Ready for a change, Ashlee Simpson and Fall Out Boy husband Pete Wentz are putting their Beverly Hills luxury mansion up for sale.
The couple’s marriage, which has been rumored to be shaky and on the verge of divorce, are claiming they are making the move for baby Bronx.
The house simply is not baby-safe! “The house is built into the side of a giant hill and it doesn’t really have any yard. Now that Bronx is getting older they realized that really isn’t a child-friendly house. They are going to sell this house and look for something that will be better suited to young children.”
Ashlee bought the mansion, at 5,896 square feet, in January of 2007 for $4.5 million. It has four floors, four bedrooms, four baths, and a master bedroom with his-and-her baths.
It, of course, has all things needed such as a television and game room, gym, a huge kitchen, swimming pool, and a two-story guesthouse.
Ah, stupid stupid stupid. Ashlee was let go from Melrose Place. Ashlee Simpson and co-star Colin Egglesfield’s story lines on Melrose Place will wrap up in an episode airing on January 2010.
Ashlee released the following statement about it..
“Having the chance to play Violet on Melrose Place has been a thrill. Although I always knew her story would come to a final, insanely unpredictable end, playing a creepy, unstable character was something I always wanted to do, so I jumped at the chance. Thanks to the CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity!”
EW’s Michael Ausiello has an interview with exec producer Todd Slavkin explaining the reasons why.
On the decision to let Ashlee and Colin go: Well, we always knew that this murder mystery would end in episode 12. And we always knew that [Ashlee's] character of Violet would be instrumental in that as a suspect, and [Colin's character of] Augie as well. And once that murder mystery was solved, she would go on her way. That was the original plan going into the development of the show.
On how Ashlee and Colin took the news: They’re total professionals and they took it like professionals. When you go into a show you never know what’s going to evolve and what the possibilities are. But because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn’t a complete shock.
New characters to be (re)introduced include Heather Locklear and Brooke Burns. I will not be watching anymore haha.
Score one for the vampire people! (And the incredibly good-looking West Hollywood-living people?)
CW just picked up a full season of the breakout freshman hit The Vampire Diaries, and the network has also ordered five more episodes of Melrose Place.
Why did Vampire Diaries get a full season while Melrose Place didn’t? Here’s what we’re hearing…
Diaries has been an unqualified hit for the CW—it’s easily the network’s top show. Melrose’s ratings, meanwhile, are just marginally ahead of already canceled The Beautiful Life. In fact, a repeat of the canceled CW series The Game that aired on BET the other night beat out an original episode of Melrose Place. Sad but true.
So why keep Melrose on at all? Well, Melrose comes with endless publicity in the form of returning original MP stars like, oh, Heather Locklear, and insiders remain enthusiastic about the production quality and big upcoming storylines like a major character death and backstory reveals for fan faves like Katie Cassidy’s Ella.
Now, help us answer a not-so-burning question: Which middle-of-the-road Melrose Place character is most expendable? We’re pondering this upcoming character death, and we’re trying to figure out who you could stand to lose. Katie Cassidy’s Ella Sims is excluded, because she’s clearly the show’s breakout star, and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz’s Violet is also off the list, because she’s extremely crazy and no one likes her, but between the other regulars, Michael Rady, Jessica Lucas, Stephanie Jacobsen, Shaun Sipos and Colin Egglesfield, who should be safe, and who is a good candidate for a highly promotable sweeps-month killing-off?
I hope Ashlee had an amazing 25th birthday! She held her party at Wet Republic.. here are a few videos of her and Jessica arriving.. I’ll add tons of photos later!
